Spiritual Mage (Zamorak)

• Godwars Dungeon, Zamorak's Fortress

Praying is A must to fight these. Spiritual mages hit way too often to risk using food or conventional healing methods. Just pray and you will be fine. Note that, once you pass the river, your prayer will be drained to 0; so drink a dose of super restore, and the rest prayer potions. Super restore is for your damaged stats, that usually get drained from the cold when you enter the god wars dungeon. You can't cross the river with a follower, so if you bringing a familiar, summon them after you cross the river.

Most people use melee to kill spiritual mages, range can be just as good though. If ranging using a fast weapon such as a short bow, throwing knives/darts etc perform best.

Other notes

• Spirital mages ARE NOT considered undead, so salve amulet does not work against them.
• Wearing a Zamorak item will make all followers of Zamorak in the Godwars dungeon become unaggressive (excluding the general and his sergeants). There are many Zamorak items you can use for this, try to pick one which won't affect your combat bonuses too much.

Equipment notes - Slayer Inventory

• Zamorak robe bottom (This I've found to be the best item to use, it is cheap while also providing a small prayer bonus).
• Godsword (Zamorak Godsword is great to use against these if you have one, if not then any Godsword is great, whip is also just as good here).
• Prayer pots/Restore pot (You will need prayer potions to restore your prayer points and a restore potion, or super restore potion is useful to restore your lowered stats from entering the Godwars dungeon).
• Pure Set (These are fairly useful, although spiritual mages have low hitpoints so aren't greatly important).
• Karamja Gloves 3/Trollhiem teleport (The trollheim teleport is for quick access to the Godwars Dungeon and the Karamja Gloves are for teleporting to Shilo Village after your task, these can be replaced with another form of teleportation if using a different slayer master).
